Today, I would like to recognize associate attorney Taylor Gore of the Linley Jones Firm, PC for her outstanding work in co-authoring a scholarly article with respected City Attorney Christopher Balch, Esq. entitled “The Attorney Client Privilege in Public Life.” Not only did Taylor get the opportunity to work closely with Mr. Balch in crafting the article, but she put to work her knowledge of legal malpractice issues gained through her experience here at our firm. The article was an important contribution to this year‘s presentations to city attorneys from around the state of Georgia at last weekend’s Georgia Municipal Association Convention held in Savannah. The paper addresses important topics for consideration by city attorneys including the complicated ethical issues posed by representing multiple clients such as mayors, city councils and city managers. Thanks to the efforts of Chris Balch and Taylor Gore, Georgia’s city attorneys now have research and analysis to rely upon in making those difficult ethical decisions.
